What is a dump bin and what's it used for?
A dump bin is a bulk display unit, usually a bin, crate or tiered container, used to present loose or boxed stock for impulse buying, typically near tills or at the end of an aisle. They're designed to hold a large volume of one or two product lines without individual facing, making restocking quick. Sizes and materials vary by range.
What sizes do wine and spirit display units come in?
Sizes vary widely, from small countertop stands holding a handful of bottles through to larger free-standing racks or gondola-style units for a wider range. Configuration also differs, with some designed for bottles laid flat and others upright, depending on the stock and shop layout. Are wicker baskets suitable for retail display or just decoration?
Both. Wicker baskets are genuinely functional for retail display, giving a natural finish that suits farm shop, bakery and market-style presentations while still holding real stock weight for loose produce, bread or packaged goods. Durability varies by construction quality, so check whether a basket is intended for regular handling or lighter, more decorative use before ordering.
Can retail display units be branded or customised?
Many display units can be customised, for example with printed header boards, branded panels or a specific paint or laminate colour, though options depend on the range and order quantity. If mobility matters, for example to reposition stock for different events, check the specification or ask us to confirm before ordering.
What's the difference between a promotional display and a permanent merchandising fixture?
Promotional displays are generally lighter-weight, designed for short-term campaigns or seasonal stock and easy to move or replace. Permanent merchandising fixtures are built for continuous everyday use, with sturdier construction to cope with constant restocking and handling over a long period. Which you need depends on how long the display will be in place.
