Our most frequently asked questions for Shelving Accessories
What shelving accessories are compatible with my existing bays?
Compatibility depends on the bracket and upright profile of your existing bays, which varies between manufacturers and even between older and newer ranges from the same maker. Sending us a photo of the upright slot pattern, or a model name if known, is the quickest way to confirm which shelves, brackets and dividers will fit before you order.
What are shelf dividers used for and do I need them?
Shelf dividers separate stock into distinct facings so products stand upright and don't slump sideways or merge into neighbouring lines. They're commonly used for books, boxed goods, bagged produce and anything prone to toppling. Not every shelf needs them, but they're worth adding where stock is lightweight, irregularly shaped or sold as small individual units.
What is an EPOS ticket strip and how does it attach to shelving?
An EPOS ticket strip is a plastic channel that clips or slots onto the front edge of a shelf to hold printed price and barcode tickets in place. It keeps pricing tidy and easy to update without tape or adhesive labels. Strips are cut to shelf width and come in different depths depending on the ticket size used.
Can I buy replacement shelves separately, or do I need a full bay?
Yes, in most ranges shelves are sold separately from the upright frame, so a damaged or missing shelf can usually be replaced without buying a whole new bay. You'll need to match the shelf width, depth, gauge and finish to the existing bay, and check the bracket type too, as fixing methods differ between ranges.
What are leg finishers and are they necessary?
Leg finishers, sometimes called end finishers or foot caps, cover the exposed base of an upright to give a tidier finish and protect the floor from scuffing and the upright from wear. They're not structurally essential, but most trade buyers add them for appearance in customer-facing areas such as sales floors and showrooms.
Do shelving brackets and clips fit any make of shelving?
No, brackets and shelf clips are generally specific to the slot pattern and gauge of a particular upright range, so a bracket from one manufacturer won't necessarily fit another's uprights. If you're topping up an existing installation, tell us the make or send a photo of the upright and we'll match the correct accessories.
