Eco Timber Bin Store: Galvanised Steel Frame with Timber Cladding

The Eco Timber Bin Store keeps wheelie bins and recycling bins together, tidy and out of sight. It combines a galvanised steel frame with tanalised timber slatted sides and back, so it looks natural and blends in with its surroundings, while the steel frame and roof give it strength and a long life. It's used by schools, councils, housing developments, offices and commercial sites.

How many bins will it hold?

As a rough guide, allow about 0.6m to 0.7m of width per standard wheelie bin, plus a little space to get them in and out. For larger 1,100 litre commercial bins, allow about 1.4m each. If you're not sure, tell us what bins you have and we'll help you work it out.

Why timber cladding?

Timber slats give a softer, more natural look than an all-metal store, which helps on school sites, housing developments and anywhere planners or neighbours care about appearance. All the timber is tanalised (pressure treated) as standard to protect it against rot. The gaps between the slats let air through, which helps keep bin smells down.

Can I make it bigger?

Yes. Multiple units can be joined side by side to store more bins, and we can also make it to a custom size. Contact us for a price.

Do bin stores need planning permission?

Usually not for a standard freestanding bin store, as most are within permitted development, but this depends on size, position relative to boundaries and whether the property is listed.
