Fin Shaped Cycle Stand for surface mounting or concrete in - available in 3 finishes. Currently, many businesses and schools are encouraging their staff and pupils to use greener forms of transportation. As a result, cycling or biking, has become much more popular and those cyclists who live fairly close to their place of work are now choosing to cycle to work rather than driving. With this increase in cyclists it's important that businesses and schools provide adequate options to securely store their cycles during the day.

Our practical cycle stands are a cost effective solution and they'll withstand the test of time. The cycle stands are a UK manufactured product, constructed using 48mm diameter tube they're available with either a galvanised, galvanised & powder coated or stainless steel finish for added protection against corrosion. The powder coated option is a black (RAL9005).

Installation advice: Surface mounted cycle stands should be bolted to concrete of at least 300mm cubed per leg. Concrete in stands should be set with concrete into a hole of at least 300mm long x 300mm wide x 450mm deep.

A Sheffield stand is the simple hooped steel cycle stand seen widely across UK towns, allowing a bike to be locked to the frame at two points for good security. It takes up little space, works well in rows and is generally considered a sustainable urban design standard. Available in various tube diameters and finishes.

What's the difference between semi-vertical and toast rack cycle stands?

Semi-vertical racks angle bikes upright to fit more cycles into a narrow footprint, useful where floor space is limited. Toast rack stands hold wheels in parallel slots side by side, similar in principle to Sheffield stands but arranged as a single unit. Choice depends on available space and how many cycles you need to park.

How much space do I need between Sheffield stands?

Spacing varies by design guidance, but stands are generally set apart enough to allow handlebars to clear and to give users room to manoeuvre between rows. We can advise on typical layouts for your available area, though final spacing should follow current cycle parking guidance for the number of cycles you're accommodating.

What finishes are available for cycle stands?
