Recycled Plastic Bollards with a Steel Core
These car park bollards have a recycled plastic sleeve over a steel core. That gives you the strength of a steel bollard, with an outer sleeve that won't rust, chip or need repainting. They're black with 3 white reflective bands, so they stand out in car parks, service yards, retail parks and along pedestrian walkways, day or night. They stand 1000mm high above the finished floor.
Choose your type
- Type S: Car Park Bollard with Steel Core (BOL-10207). Our standard fixed walkway bollard, for marking out walkways, protecting building edges and keeping vehicles off pavements and verges.
- Type T: Anti-Ram Car Park Bollard with Steel Core (BOL-10208). A stronger anti-ram bollard with a longer steel core set deeper into the ground, and a core filled with concrete. It's for areas at more risk of vehicle impact, such as shop fronts, glazing and entrances.
- Type RS: Removable Lockable Bollard (BOL-10209). It can be unlocked and lifted out when you need vehicle access, like for deliveries, emergency access or maintenance, then put back and secured with a padlock.
- Replacement Sleeve (BOL-10233). If a sleeve gets damaged, you can replace just the outer sleeve instead of the whole bollard.

Why choose a recycled plastic bollard over painted steel?
A painted steel bollard looks tired once it's been knocked a few times. The paint chips, rust shows through, and it needs repainting. A plastic sleeve is black all the way through, so scuffs don't show in the same way and there's no painting to do. You still get the strength of a steel core inside. The sleeve also gives a little in a low-speed knock, which helps reduce damage to cars.
Which type do I need?
For most car parks and walkways, Type S does the job. Go for Type T Anti-Ram where a vehicle hitting the bollard is more likely or would cause more damage, such as near glazing, shop fronts or entrances. Choose Type RS anywhere you need to open up access now and again.
How are they installed?
The steel core is set in concrete first, then the sleeve slides over it and is secured. For Type S, core drill a hole at least 200mm wide and 650mm deep, set the core in position, and fill the hole with concrete. Once it's set, fit the sleeve over the core and fix it with the TEK screw. The concrete foundation should follow a structural engineer's design. Full installation instructions are shown in the product images.
