The  S2 Shoe Scanner Metal Detector is a high‑sensitivity platform designed to swiftly and accurately detect concealed items in footwear. Built for rigorous security environments, it offers independent detection for each foot with both visual and audio alarms, and is IP65-rated for reliable outdoor use. A compact yet robust addition to any checkpoint, the  S2 accelerates screening throughput while enhancing secondary search effectiveness.

This shoe scanner metal detector can be used either in conjunction with knife arches and search wands or as a standalone detection method. It comes with a 12 month warranty.

 

Targeted Shoe Screening
The  S2 Shoe Scanner Metal Detector is designed to detect concealed metallic objects hidden within footwear. It can detect both ferrous and non-ferorous metals with a high level of accuracy. Used in conjunction with walk-through metal detectors or handheld search wands, it can greatly increase throughput and prevent bottlenecks and delays. It can also be used as a standalone detection device for footwear focused threats or loss prevention.

Solid Search Pedestal
At 175 mm in height, the unit doubles as a search pedestal, raising the subject’s feet for easier inspection. This feature assists officers during handheld searches and physical checks.

Increased Efficiency
By allowing shoes to be screened without removal, the S2 Shoe Scanner Metal Detector helps reduce delays and speeds up the search process. This improves overall throughput at security checkpoints where large numbers of people are being processed.

Dual-Zone Detection
Each foot is scanned independently, with separate alarm indicators for left and right sides. This enables security personnel to quickly identify the source of an alert and concentrate checks on the relevant area.

High-Sensitivity Detection
The S2 Shoe Scanner Metal Detector supports up to 400 sensitivity settings per foot and 50 overall security levels, enabling detection of small metallic items including coins, blades, and other concealed objects even when located at the furthest point of the shoe.

Configurable Alerts
Alarm settings for tone, volume, and duration can be tailored to suit the operational environment. Configuration changes are password protected to maintain consistency across deployments.

Battery Operation and Charging
The S2 Shoe Scanner Metal Detector can be powered either directly via the mains or through the included rechargeable batteries for wireless operation.

Portable Design
At only 7.3 kg, the platform is lighter than many comparable models, allowing it to be easily deployed, repositioned, transported, or stored when not in use.

Outdoor Use
The S2 Shoe Scanner Metal Detector is IP65-rated, offering protection against dust and water jets. This makes it suitable for outdoor checkpoints and mobile screening stations, though it should not be submerged in water.

Non-Slip Surface
A patterned, anti-slip surface ensures stability when users place their feet, reducing the risk of slipping during operation.
