Wall Buffers: Wall Protection Bump Rail for Hospitals, Public Buildings & Workplaces
Wall buffers are tough plastic panels fixed along a wall to protect it from knocks by trolleys, wheelchairs, beds, cleaning equipment and furniture. They save on repainting and repairs, and keep corridors looking smart. They're made from high molecular weight polyethylene (PE-HMW), which is coloured all the way through, so scuffs don't show, and it's easy to clean with normal detergents.

Where are wall buffers used?
Hospitals, care and nursing homes, GP surgeries, waiting rooms, schools, hotels, public buildings, corridors, workshops and industrial premises. Anywhere walls take regular knocks.
10mm or 20mm thick?
The 10mm buffer is fine for light knocks from chairs, furniture and foot traffic. Choose 20mm where walls take heavier impacts, for example from hospital beds, trolleys, cleaning machines or pallet trucks.
150mm or 200mm high?
Choose the height to cover the area that gets hit. A 200mm buffer gives you a wider protected band, which helps where trolleys or beds vary in height. If you're not sure, measure where the scuff marks are on your walls now.
How do I fit them?
Hold the buffer in place, mark through the pre-drilled holes, drill and plug the wall, then fix with 6mm countersunk screws (not supplied). Push the colour-matched blanking plugs into the screw holes for a neat finish. Buffers can be cut and mitred on site with standard tools to fit corners and doorways.
